1 Probation and Termination
The Employee will be on probation during the initial period of the contract.
The Company reserves the full right to terminate the contract at any time during or after
probation.
If the Employee is found unqualified, incompetent, or lacking required ISM knowledge, only 50% of
the agreed salary will be paid from the date of joining.
All costs incurred by the Company including air tickets, agency fees, and sign-on/sign-off charges
will be deducted from the Employee's salary in such cases.
2 Job Assignment and Area of Operation
The Employee agrees to travel to the designated area of operations and work on any vessel assigned by
the Company.
The Company has the right to change the vessel or operation as required.
3 Work Schedule and Hours
The normal working schedule will be 12 hours per day.
The Employee is entitled to a minimum of 10 hours of rest in any 24-hour period.
Work schedules are subject to change based on operational needs, emergencies, or unforeseen
circumstances.
4 Duties Onboard
The Employee will perform duties onboard the vessel or on dockside if required, as part of normal
seafaring activities.
All tasks must be carried out under supervision, in line with the Safety Management System, and with
respect to maritime laws.
5 Shore Leave
Shore leave is granted only at the sole discretion of the Master or Company Agent, and based on
operational, legal, and safety requirements.
6 Return Travel
The Company will provide return travel to India only after the contract is completed.
The route and mode of transportation will be decided by the Company.
7 Salary and Leave
The Employee will receive a monthly consolidated salary.
This salary includes leave compensation. No additional leave will accrue.
8 Taxation and Insurance
The Employee is responsible for paying income tax in their home country.
The Employee is responsible for maintaining valid social security insurance from their home country.
9 Bank Details
The Employee must ensure their bank account details are accurate and updated.
The Company will not be responsible for salary payment failures due to incorrect or outdated
information.
10 Abandonment or Termination for Cause
If the Employee abandons the vessel, quits, or is terminated for cause, all payments will cease
immediately.
The Company will not be responsible for any further compensation or repatriation costs.
11 Code of Conduct
The Employee must:
- Behave courteously and professionally.
- Avoid any actions that may damage the Company's reputation or property.
- Follow all laws, client rules, and safety protocols.
Grounds for immediate termination include but are not limited to:
- Alcohol/drug use
- Theft or misconduct
- Breach of confidentiality
- Incompetence or gross negligence
- Bringing unauthorized persons onboard
- Misrepresentation of medical or personal information
12 Confidentiality
The Employee shall not disclose any confidential information regarding the Company, its operations,
or clients.
13 License and Documentation
The Employee must possess and maintain all valid licenses, certificates, and documents required for
their position at all times.
14 Agreement Acknowledgment
The Employee acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to all the terms and conditions stated
in this agreement.
